Does anyone know how to sort hostile mobs. Like creepers zombies and skeletons. I want to make a farm but I want to see if I can farm them separately. If you know of a video that would be great! Btw I mean like put creepers in one collection area zombies in another etc.
When zombies chase villagers you shall be able to separate the zombies from your sorting system.
Endermen are 3 blocks high so you can manipulate that factor.
Silverfish are one block high.
You can get any hostile mob to follow you.
That's just a bit for me to tell you.
yea when we get ocelots thats how you separate creepers since they flee from cats.
then use a villager to separate zombies.
a 2x1 space to sort out spiders.
then a regular gap takes care of the skellys.
endermen can be sorted but it may cuase the spawn trap to backup. since wherever you alter the gap to sort them they may get stuck.
Well now . . . just when I thought I couldn't be looking forward to TU12 any more than I am already. Never thought of bothering with an auto-sorted mob grinder, but now . . . I will probably make one just because I can!
The one thing that interests me about this is creating a music-disc farm. If I can sort skeletons and creepers, I can line them up in traps, with me as an arrow target on the other side of the creeper trap.

Spiders can have a separate mob grinder all together. Since you can have it not spawn them at all in the system and they will be a separate one. As far as enderman go you mind as well make that in the end, and make it so they don't spawn in the overworld traps.
You can of course have a fall trap with them spawn along will the others similar in design to how you do blazes in that cone; insuring they fall to a central point. But that would be really all you could do in the overworld or well worth doing... since in the beginning you would not have access to the end.
Like the others have said, it is a wait for TU12 for the actual sorting of the others....
