I had some friends that were playing it a lot on live. So I downloaded the demo to see what the fuss was about.
Played the tutorial, Night came too soon.It got dark. I started running into monsters, and running away, then the explosions came.
Shortly after that, the 20 minute trial ended.
So I bought the game. Re-ran the tutorial, but this time did not do what it said. TIme stands still in the Tutorial until it ends. So I built me a house and all that BEFORE finishing the tutorial. Things were much easier then and I never died in that world again.
I actually was watching my son first create his house after we first got it. He started building his house then got lost. So he started building another on ice. I asked what would happen if the ice melted and he replied " I didn't think about that". We didn't have to find out because a creeper blew it up first.
Mainly I have answered this like a few times... Yes there were several before this one. lol
Not that that really matters..
My first time playing I already had a bit of knowledge of the game, since in the beginning I was watching my cousin play till we had the money for myself to get the game. So basically my first time involved just digging and building basic things. My first time is truly marked in my Arcavia thread. I built dirt/cobble housing.. It was a start. Later I have been going back and renovating this and that, if not flat out adding.
Like my quarry I use to use, I just added a look to it... regardless my first time was on easy, then eventually I switched to peaceful for that specific map....

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I started playing after talking with some of my son's friends about it. I thought it would be something that all three of my kids could play together that didn't involve one or more getting bored considering their different ages. I played on the tut world and went about almost everything wrong lol. Our dirt warehouse looking house kept getting blown to bits by creepers, so we made it three or four layers thick. The quarry was just a 12x12 hole that we dug straight down.
Looking back at that knowing what I know now, all I think is man what a dumbass I was lol
My first time I spawned on a floating island in the sky, I was really confused, then I fell off over gazing down the 50ft drop, oh, and the island was in the middle of a giant canyon, yes, a canyon, no ravine, ravines weren't in alpha PC, so, yeah... I never did safely get down from that island down to the gorgeous canyon, I named the canyon the grand canyon since it was mostly sandstone and around the canyon was a desert and at the bottom was a little stream(: I also named it that - because it was big.
There was also a surface mob spawner, and in there, was a golden apple... lol. I guess I should've saved that seed,

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

lucky YOU NEED HARDCORE MODE im so scared to play hardcore
The first time I played MC was just after it went to beta on the PC.
That was so long ago I don't remember it.
oh, if we're talking about the PC version. I don't remember how I heard about it, but I didn't hear about it from any friends, went to minecraft.net and played classic, got my sister hooked, and we eventually played around 1.8. First time ever was in 2009, and I didn't have the money to buy into the alpha. Got hooked, and then my Pc died so, I bought it on the 360.
I didn't look at the tutorial so I spent the first day walking around aimlessly, and the first night standing pretty still as it was pitch black. Actually this went on for about an in-game week before I worked out how to use a crafting table and change the gamma settings. Those were lonely boring nights I can tell you!
When I started I explored for that perfect house spot, I went far from spawn and built a house on a large island with a huge mountain on it. (Touched the sky limit)
Because it was when Minecraft 360 first started I did not have a really great house... More like a wooden tower on the beach.
I ended up splitting the mountain in two all the way to bedrock when I made my first mine. (5 monster spawners)
Later a added a minecart system around the island to access different sections such as the farm.
Only reason I ever deleted the world was because I wanted all the new update stuff.
I only ever used the duplication glitch on it when I heard it would be patched. (So much tnt)
I played on PC first time. Back when 1.7 came out. I seen like 1 video and I wanted to play. I had absolutley no clue what I was doing and was literally scared. I had to ask my friend everything. Like, how do I grab blocks, how do I grab coal what does this do? What does that do? I had a pretty bad computer too, so when I first dropped running water into my basement I crashed my computer. ( I had no idea that you could change GFX settings, I had no idea about PC gaming).... So there is my story. It's not a happy one.
The first time I played the trial I was astounded at how I could break a rose and then place it somewhere else on the grass in the 1.7.3 tutorial area! Although at first it really creped me out that there was an empty deserted village near spawn. I could always tell that creepers were nasty business because of the way they menacingly walk towards you.
