well i was looking for a better place to put this info. but couldn't really find one but still didn't want to start a hole thread for just this so bowchikka if you know a better place for the info let me know and you can go ahead and lock this or just go ahead and slide it in there. sorry if this is redundant info as well but i couldnt find anything helpful when i was looking.
now that that's out of he way lets get to it.
long story short. im making a grifball mini game. planning to use my old halo reach and halo 3 map designs. and i need a ton of identical knockback II weapons. currently using wood swords though after i test how it plays i may switch it out for heavier materials. its all about damage ratio to weapon durability. lots of fine tuning with armor as well.
i really didnt feel like sitting there enchanting all those swords.
so the solution was fairly simple to place a ton of item frames place my one knockback sword into all of them essentially duping it (without glitching the game) then brake the frames and collected the sword. see pretty simple.
so should the need arise for you to have a stockpile of identical enchanted items for say a coliseum or your own grifball map this little trick will come in very handy.
Yes, I used that trick also for my mob arena that I am working on. I had to had 9 weapons in a dispenser and I wasnt going to be there all day enchanting so just enchanted about 5 times got what I wanted, placed the item frame, place the item and kaboom! you got another item with the exact enchantment

yea, exactly. it took me ten minutes to get a simple knockback II sword, when i need at least 8 for the game; not including extras if they do happen to break. I was definetly not gonna spend hours enchanting.. whats funny is i kept getting amazing enchants when i wanted a simple one, so many fire aspect swords, but if i was playing survival i know the results would be the opposite.
