I don't think the chunks that spawn slimes change per update. It's my understanding that a chunk that spawns slimes in Beta 1.6.6 would still spawn slimes in any of the Official Releases. This means that any slime finder would work for any version of the Xbox version, assuming it's accurate in the first place.
I used a PC slime finder to find a chunk in my 1.7.3 world and it worked exactly as intended.
I tried using that, found 3 chunks in a row, and dug them out starting at layer 12 and making it 3 high, then a second floor (well, somewhat of a second floor), and not a single slime has spawned. And I waited 25 blocks away and kept coming back for well over an hour. Any ideas? The seed if you want to try is (without the quotes) "-7487907252474538104" I was using the 3 chunks in a vertical line a little to the left of the middle of the map.

Firstly, you really need to light up all caves with a 128 block radius of your slime farm to prevent other hostile mobs from spawning and taking up the hostile mob maximum and preventing slimes from spawning. Another issue if you have a lot of caves in the lower 40 levels of your slime chunks or nearby slime chunks, the slimes may spawn in those areas without you realizing it instead of in your farm. Check out the Slime 101 thread and also have a look at OverlookeDeNT's new video on slime farms.
Most of it is lit up since it was built in my branch mine. Also there's only 1 chunk close enough for mobs to spawn in when in the farm.
make sure you don't place torches on the floor as they can prevent slimes from spawning by taking up a block that slimes can spawn on, place the torches in the ceiling or on the walls.
You can doublecheck the chunks in superflat. Start a superflat world in peaceful creative mode using your seed. Place a fence around the slime chunks you are using. Making sure it is daylight, flip that world into a higher difficulty (easy, normal, or hard) and hover about 30 blocks above the fence. If you have slimes spawn inside the fenced area, you'll know that the chunks you're using are indeed slime chunks.

Another thing to do is to half slab the caves that run through slime chunks so slimes don't spawn in them.
Who in their right mind would slab over a cave?
Do you know how long and how much effort that takes? ._.
You don't have to do the whole cave, just where the slime chunk is. I actually did it to a dual slime chunk in a ravine, and surrounding caves, before I decided to make it in to my slime farm. I first built mine in a single chunk but never really had slimes spawn. They loved spawning in the ravine so I made that in to my farm and now have almost a constant flow of slimes.
