I havn't even heard of that movie so ther was honestly no way of me knowing that I was quoting it. Like I said i was quoting the old LoZ show.. where link has his infamous line of " EXCUUUUUSE ME PRINCESS" every time Zelda is generally snide towards him
I usually jsut back up until i can draw my sword.. then I follow my little blade dance to slaughter the suicidal moron... Also bare in mind Im usually carrying an iron sword when Im down in the rivines and whatnot when Im looking for diamonds. so there is probally one less Strike move step I have to do.
Well, Tonight I'm heading into the place that i'm in the process of building. Thinking no creepers were able to spawn because I went to bed early enough. I was wrong. I don't even know where the thing was. I just know where it wasn't. I had my sword out too.

I think thats how most people view Link and Zelda. However, from re-watching the show... Nintendo did not follow with this.
in the old show they made Link a lecherous idiot and Zelda a snob. I feel this is the reason they we dont have a legend of Zelda game that has full on voice acter for both Link and Zelda.
Now back to the Creepers... the best bet would be to " build a mote of lava around you chosen homestead", make it deep enough to let teh suicider sink in and wide enough where they can't get out in time. granted you loose the ability to get the gunpowder. which is why I dance around em when I fight em
Creepers may be able to read minds. I built a house out of wood and thought "it would be a shame if something happened to it." Then boom. The creeper blew the back of my house plus my secret stash of TNT which I had in the event I would ever need it. The creeper lit the TNT which blew up almost my entire house.

Its still hard to kill a creeper when your busy getting your shears out in your inventory and they come right up on you.

I don't want a mote. It is just they are not just around when you think of them. When you do think of them its because you know they can be out.

OT: Creepers are PROGRAMED to show up at the worst possible moment, from what I can tell.
You actually placed the TNT as blocks instead of items in a chest, and that is the only reason your house went boom. Blame yourself. Shame. SHAME.
