Sharpness V.. pretty sure it isn't possible on a gold sword. I just hopped onto creative mode, and I must have went through over 1,000 swords on level 30 enchants. Smite and Bane V, definitely possible. I got those a lot. Not a single sharpness V, though.It's be pretty worthless, anyway. A sharpness V Gold sword would be outclassed by a sharpness III diamond sword.
Fun fact -- Smite and Bane V are also possible on Iron Swords. A smite V iron sword is a joyous thing to have.
Edit: Lookin at the enchantability values, I wonder if smite V is possible on diamonds? I'mma have to test that, too.
update to this thread. I went into a creative world and started enchanting gold swords. After roughly 30, i can confirm sharpness V can be gotten on a gold sword through just enchanting.

Please read the forum rules and don't bump threads by replying to posts that are years old. At any rate, LePlat (the OP) confirmed himself that one could get Sharpness V in survival just by enchanting... using a gold sword. I assume that's still the case... as well as being able to get them from villagers now... and, to answer the OPs actual question, I still haven't gotten one (not that I really try anyways).

Either way, I have gotten Smite V on Diamond Swords.

I know combining two power 3 bows will give you a power 4 so perhaps combining two sharpness 4 swords on an anvil will give you sharpness 5.
