So lately, I've been using cauldrons to spice up my builds a bit...like a lot. I noticed that light below or above a cauldron will actually shine through it, so they look especially good as flooring or tucked into ceilings for a different kind of lighting.
I also noticed that they are a bit glitchy sometimes and they look as if they're popped up, or missing water, etc. (I'm sure most of us have seen pistons having the same kind of strange behavior on occassion).
I was wondering if anyone has used like an extreme amount of cauldrons and if they've had any issues. I like the look, and they offer another lighting option which is great considering they're aren't many, but I don't want to keep using them if it's going to be problematic.
It doesn't happen very often, but every now and then I'll notice a cauldron that doesn't look right and I'll have to replace it. I asked because I started using a ton of them. I was in my library where there aren't actually any used, and there was just a side image of a cauldron just floating there in the air. I was able to stack up to it, which fixed it, but I did get a bit worried that it was just going to stay there or just keep happening.
Other than using a Cauldron together with my Brewing Stand, I have one upstairs in my room as a makeshift garbage can. As for problems in using them in builds, this is a first for me in hearing all this.
I DoNt Think The Problem Is The Cauldrons, It Could Be A Lighting Glitch causing The Irregularities, Lighting Seems To Be Minecrafts Worse Enemy But Other Then That There Awesome For builds.
yea ive used tons. in my steam punk world. massive ceiling tiles and flooring filled with water. i too like how light will shine right through them its a great way to hide glowstone. but like everyone else has said ive seen no glitches with them. im not sure why your having issues. could be lighting, but ive got a large number of them with a larg amount of lighting. maybe if you max out the lighting making sure its at its highest so there are no lighting calculations.

I use them decoratively all the time on the 360 and have never had any issues.
Stay fluffy~
Anyway, thanks for the replies!
