As far as the present one, there's actually one in the Festive pack just called Present that I did count as non-gender specific. The only reason I counted the others was due to the name, and it's entirely possible that I could have made an error. I didn't count any of the party skins lacking the male reference nor did I count any in a suit. A lot of skins would appear genderless, but I chose to count the names with man in them when I was looking them over. But it's nice to hear lots of different opinions from other Minecraft players.
I just thought of maybe they can make skins based off celebs and movies. May not be a good idea but for the female celeb/movie skins they could make some good ones.
I run two servers and the majority of people I have played with are male. So on the surface it sounds reasonable for skins to be majority male. But I still use the basic steve skin so it doesn't matter much to me personally. The last skin pack "5" is the first one I will probably get because it has a cat and walking dead characters (TV show) etc.
As long as I don't start getting asked "Does this skin make me look fat?" then more skins seems like a good thing. I would like to see more along that whole train of thought like: dyed armor, special skins for certain achievements like dragon skin if you kill the ender dragon, etc. Being able to dye leather armor would give the ladies plenty of wardrobe options.
But overall I would say the majority of people I have played with are satisfied both male and female. The few that talk about the skins are of two catergories. Usually the males want skins from other games they have played and the females just want some more options. It seems that as time progresses we are getting more of both. The original skin pack really should of had a female character. I have known girls from the beginning that played minecraft and know Whites and Asians and Hispanics but don't know any blacks that play and there is a black skin.
More guys play Minecraft then Girls, so more Guy skins. That's just a fact. I think 4J released some pretty good female skins, especially in Skin Pack 5.
On a side note, I thought it was funny when someone wearing a girl skin back in the old days and they got hurt.
I would like to see more, but as people have said, more guys play than girls. That said, some of the main people I play with are chicks. So maybe one pack with 10 or so skins devoted to female skins? That may balence it out a bit.

A Cortana skin would have been a nice idea
