I want it on the Xbox but I don't have good enough Internet to connect to Xbox live (don't ask). I was wondering, how does it update? Is there anyway I can put it in my computer and have it update like that.
The only way that it can get updates is through xbox live.. you do not need to have gold to update, just silver if that helps, and it only needs to be connected for long enough to download the update

I can't imagine that your internet connection is so bad that you can't download a free title update. I don't think it would be any larger than 30Mb. Even with a really slow connection, it shouldn't take long to download, and you don't even need to pay for xbox live gold to get it.
There's A Thread About This , You Can Download It Via Usb Then Install It On Your Xbox.. I'm Not Sure What The Thread Title Is But There's Ways To Get The Update So Don't fret

it's not that it's that slow (it is but that's noty point), my room and the router are literally on two different sides of the house, and my adapter can detect it but won't connect to it.
Now that MC updates are real files you can see in the game's directory (instead of the old cache-resident updates), you should be able to acquire it in several ways. A friend's Xbox with a USB stick would be the easiest. The update file can be downloaded or moved to the stick, then you can plug it into your system, and move the file to your storage device. Even if your friend only gets the trial version of Minecraft, this should work. He can always re-update his game after you take his file.
of course you could setup near that router temporarily when an update comes out so you could connect to it. but it is a matter of knowing when updates are, and right now no one knows when the next one is short from microsoft and 4J...
else what the person said above would work, if not hauling to another house that your xbox can connect to in order to get updates.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
As often as MC updates come out (once every 1-2 months) you can just temporarily move your xbox nearer your router and get it. Easy and cheap.
However, your xbox (and other laptops, etc.) need internet access all the time for tons of reasons other than just MC updates. Go to Amazon and look up "wifi repeaters" (or ask at Best Buy). They extend the range of your wifi, and you can get one for $30+. That will eliminate the 'blind spots' in your house once and for all…. internet everywhere in your house for everybody. (And you won't need to get the disk).

that sucks, looks like you'll have to go the way of the usb stick
