I cannot remember.
I helped test this once, but it proved inconclusive.
Try flooding a Superflat and making a grid of them to see....

Yes they will most certainly spawn on pressure plates. The game sees them as nonexistent when checking for available spawn points. I've used it in the current TU.

My current blaze spawner has them as the only place for the blaze to spawn and it works like a charm
