Alright, that just means that a themed world is a normal world but different, and it cannot be altered (the theme cannot be) after the save is created.
It looks like I was right, the first texture pack IS going to be a mash-up pack! Three cheers for Kitties!

I dont even have X360, but I browse the forums for it because I think its cool. This is an awesome thing that they are doing to separate the games. FINALLY, a reason to get the Xbox version, so its not just downgraded PC.

Just saw a tweet today from @4jstudios, and it looks like they are going to be using a save file of some sort
Yes, it looks like my speculation about them perhaps getting the auto-generated structures to change a bit to fit themes was destined to go unfulfilled. This sounds like it will be more like the tutorial world as far as additional builds along a theme go (without the actual tutorial of course). This is still pretty sweet in my book. I've enjoyed playing at least one long round of the game in each tutorial world as they've come out.

Themed world is a memorable place revolved around the mash-up pack when you spawn in the word which tells you that the mash-up packs will be based off different games and such. We don't know if those are just auto-generate structures around the world or if it will be there once you spawn.
