So I've just found the perfect seed for a multiplayer game except 1 thing....there are NO mooshrooms. There is a very, VERY small mushroom biome, and I know that mooshrooms can only spawn here...but none originated in the world.
If I was to take a large quantity of Dirt and build up the mushroom biome landmass, would Mooshrooms eventually spawn if I gave them a larger spawning area or do I need to keep hunting for more worlds?

It's certainly worth a try. I don't think you would need to add all the much dirt to the island. The mycelium should spread to the dirt the same way that grass does. I was able to spawn normal cows in a survival island world where there was a landless swamp biome by laying down grass just over 16 x 16 blocks. I would think that mooshrooms would spawn then in a 16 x 16 area of mycelium.
I would assume there are some in the caves and possibly the ravines in your world. Also in the nether. In over a year, I've only made 1 world where I couldn't find any mushrooms
