Nope. They have no pathfinding. If they detected a sheep through a wall, they'd just uselessly press against the wall trying to get to them in a straight line.

cant hurt to try... maybe make a large maze with multiple entrances and let a zombie. skeleton. villager, cow, sheep, wolf. etc all loose and see if any of them find their way through.

sounds good be sure to record the data thoroughly, there may be an AI update with TU12. itd be interesting to see if there are different result and if so is one better than the other.oh. and dont forget snow golems as well.

i'll put down 2 of each mob accept wolves because they'll kill the sheep

I had this wolf stuck against my animal-pen's fence for weeks. I thought it was permanent, but eventually he got himself unstuck, and is now wandering near the farmhouse. Stupid thing. I don't want to start a fight with wolves, and I already have 5 domestic ones, so I've let him be.
