Just wondering if I use netherrack in the overworld to make a mob system if mobs will spawn on the blocks only going to use it because its so easy to get.

Unfortunately no you will have to be in the Nether for nether mobs

Mobs will spawn on netherrack, but only the normal overworld mobs and not nether-specific ones.

Sorry I wasn't being specific enough I just meant overworld hostile mobs.
