NOTE: this does not make pistons. it simply converts pistons into blocks that have the piston pad texture on all 6 sides.
first you'll start off with a simple piston BUD, any design will do but this one works best cuase its easy to turn off and on.
the lever powers the block. which is the update register and acts along side the piston. nice sleek simple design.
making sure the lever is on you place a piston on top of the BUD to update the block
this is the result
all sides of the block have the pad texture. this block can be moved with pistons. but a the bud design is so modular it would be easier just to build it where you want the block
beuase its so easy to just flip the switch off and depower the bud you can quickly stack these blocks
also i built this in my new steam punk inspired world. adventure map. so um... spoiler alert i guess. lol.
Too bad these can't be moved easily and are pretty much useless. ._.
i don't think they are useless. i love that texture. and being able to use it without having to block off the stone base is even better. but yea. too bad you ant silk touch them or something like that. but the bud is super simple to make and move around.
When the image of tape disk comes to mind I would think the signs would be moving, but they are stationary through the transition.
yea. itd be useful if say you wanted a built in reset so the program always started at the same point. you ould label the blocks with signs and youd know if they didnt reset properly due to lag or some other glitch in the system.

At the moment our current console would have trouble with all the complex things that could spring up from that.

But yeah moving them about can be a pain... well people do it for mushroom houses so why not piston blocks...

My friend panda had been telling me about it for a couple days.. to do a video on it and just got to see it today.. I had always made those accidentally and didn't really know how ....lol .. But yeah moving them about can be a pain... well people do it for mushroom houses so why not piston blocks...
yea. this is the simplest method i know of to make them. plus you can build this right where you want to place them and t works in all orientation so you really don't need to move it past the point of creating it. yea i wish we could silk touch the mushroom block and these. thatd be cool too.

Yeah I made a video of this on my channel.. can't post it.. because it's a "glitch/bug" and I already got an infraction for my obsidian generator ... put they work quite well for like boat docks and stuff like that... like little crates.. but yeah .. neat little block!.

yea dude. the mods are crazy on here. i got a flaming infraction for something. i have no idea what for... this is a glitch too so i might get another infraction.. one can only hope lol.. its that sense of false power . absolute power corrupts absolutely.. fake power corrupts falsely. i really want to quote bane every time i get an infraction "so you think this gives you power over me" lol... i can do the voice pretty well too, and im the right height (though i think im slightly taller than hardy) and close build too, well. now i know what im gong as for Halloween. lol.

Lol my friend T loves Bane.. they even got a skin on the Bests Skin pack that kinda looks like bane...
But yeah I understood the sand generator one.. but the obsidian.. is like there is a way to make it in game.. and with mine you're loosing something to gain something.. and it's gonna be mined... so I thought would be acceptable.. But yeah look you said.. it's all about what they "feel" as acceptable according to their standards.. but yeah! Here's hoping you don't get another!

On the topic of pistons, it took me a while to notice that signs are not destroyed when on a moving block, such as an automatic cobblestone generator.
