If you look at the terrain and the graphics and just how everything looks in the trailer, we see there is no advanced shadows, so that means pre-1.8 beta, and since it didn't really show anything else in the video besides a giant man-made hole with water and then an xbox symbol, I honestly think it will be in 1.6 beta. So no pistons or nothing.
Don't understand why we need bigger worlds, but I would like more players, so I'll be looking forward to it once it gets to the point where there are host options and etc like the xbox 360 edition.
Comment what you think (:

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I doubt it. The terrain in the trailer was made for the trailer so looking at it does nothing. It also had Smooth Lighting. It also had Stone Bricks, which is after Beta 1.8.
We won't know until Mojang, Microsoft, or 4J say something but I would probably bet money that it till be at 1.2 PC version or further on the Xbox One release.
I think there's no way they would start the One version behind the 360 version... bad for marketing for one thing... pointless for another since 4J are working on the One port and have already put in the work from 1.6,6 on the 360 one. They will either introduce it at whatever level the 360 version will be at when the One version is released or release it on par with the PC version (depending on what programming language it will use on the One). I favor the first scenario - Written in C++ and right on par with the 360 version (with some Xbox One exclusives thrown in to market it).
The only reason MCXBLA started on 1.6 was because that was what PC was at when development started on MCXBLA.
Yes but keep in mind all the textures were there that will ever be used. Potions, endermen, etc.

What Panda is saying is likely 100% correct. Keep in mind that it took a year from when MC360 was first announced until it was first released. It was first announced in the media on June 12 , 2011. PC Version 1.6.6 was released on May 30, 2011 (only 13 days earlier). These are facts and are completely verifiable online. By the time MC360 was released on May 9, 2012, the PC version had advanced to Version 1.2.5 (also completely verifiable online). Textures for future MC360 updates up to 1.2.5 could have been thrown in quickly just before the May 9, 2012 release date. You're trying to utilize them to imply something that it just doesn't really prove up.
I agree with Upup on this:
The One version will likely launch on par with the 360 version. For all the reasons he gave too. If the Vbox One supports C++ (and I dont see why it shouldn't) then its in 4J's best interest to program both versions in C++, essentially cutting their work in half.

It's pretty easy to throw some textures in with the game when it releases to make it easier in the future. It takes much longer to actually code things.
4J has said they will be updating the xbox and xbone versions going forward, i can't imagine they would be different versions, it just makes more sense that they would be on the same version. A lot easier to code that way as opposed to coding on two different version
just my thoughts
What difference does the "PC equivalent version" number matter?
It's the starting "Xbox One version". Period.
Because the PC version leads the way for which features will be available and is an easy way to explain what new stuff will be in the console versions, which are lagging many months behind.

Can you elaborate on that? Not all games are written in C++ or C#.
