Hell everybody. This is my 2'nd topic I would like to suggest to you all. A few of my friends have started a fort and RPG style map inspired by my own RPG. They have invited me to check out the map and become a member a few weeks ago and I have been on frequently ever since. Now several times I have seen them doing something stupid like running around and getting killed and mainly stuff like that. And then I realized that I needed to make something to help them better understand how to run a Minecraft map effectively. Now I have seen many videos that explain survival for new players and people that are confused by why make a video that explains just a little bit when you could make something that simply explains everything on how to survive to playing around with the game. So I thought about creating the Minecraft Survival Guide which explains different aspects of the game for beginner players. Aspects such as mobs, building, farming, eating, cooking, fighting, crafting, using redstone, and simple stuff like that. Now I just wanted to ask you guys what you thought and if have any suggestions such as "Don't do it", "Great Idea", "Add This, not that", stuff like that. Thank you and have a good day.
P.S.-I know that they already have something in the game menus that explains what that is but what I mean is the guide shows you useful tactics and tricks that are effective and worth the while.
Haha. Well I believe that I may go through with it. If I were to make a series of videos and then connect them all into a complete tutorial, it might be a pretty big hit. Course I could also just write the guide and sell it but hey whatever.

I would first recommend that you research if such a thing hasn't been done before. No doubt it has.
From there, review the prior art and consider if you can do better or not. Note that different is not better.
lastly, consider the target audience. If your friends are playing like idiots and decent learning materials do exist, then the problem is that your friends are idiots. You can't cure an idiot, it's genetic. They are too stupid to have given the matter of their game play any thought, thus they didn't do the research that you are about to do, and thus their tiny brains can't comprehend that they could play smarter.
A smart person doesn't need a guide. They intrinsically think about their strategy and work to improve it, thus coming to the same conclusions a guide would have given them.
Yes very true. And I agree it probably has been done. But I have done cover's of songs and a few rewrites of books. If there is anything I can do really good its make it good. And my targeted audience would most likely be new players that are confused but not exactly "stupid". Like I said in the post, I have seen many videos but all of the videos are NOT descriptive at all. And I can personally say even if I made a horrible video, if its still proves the title and is interesting it will be good.
