I'm actually quite upset seeing as I won't have the money for a while for the Xbox One. I just hope they update the 360 edition a good bit while the Xbox One Edition is out.
Well, I guess we know now why some of the more recent updates have been a little slow in getting out. 4J have probably been working on this project as well.
For now, I'm inclined to just stick with the Xbox 360. We'll see what happens farther down the road.
The one thing I noticed is that they didn't say "Exclusive to Xbox One" (Unless I missed it)
Hmm, wonder if that means anything.
It was a very fast clip, did anyone catch this as an "EXCLUSIVE"????
I'm changing consoles next gen, and it would suck, I'm hanging on a thread of hope for PS4 edition?????
Minecraft on xbox one confirms that I will be buying one the day they come out. For me the issue is how many of friends are goig to get it because doesn't look like 360 players could play on "one" worlds with the size and multiplayer differences.

Oh I am sure they will be separate editions of the game, as xbox and pc are different editions of the game. Would be nice if that were possible, but since the mention of 0 backwards compatibility, I would have to say it more likely will not be possible.
As more me, this is not enough for me to get the new system. That is a lot of money, just for the system itself. I for one will not be getting one this year. Besides i am having fun with the xbox 360 version anyhow. There has to be more to it for me to buy the system right off....

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I would like to see a discount for minecraft on XBOX1 myself. 10% off if you had it for xbox360 and another 10% off if you have it for PC. Sorry I just dont feel like buying the same game 3 different times at full price.
The first issue I have is now that Minecraft:XB1 is coming out for the new X-box then what is going to happen to 4J updating Minecraft 360? After TU12 comes out are we done with updates and abandon the 360 version? If this is true then I'm going to stop playing Minecraft. I understand that we have 8 gb of ram now and blah blah blah but who in their right mind would spend more money on a game they just bought a year ago? Screw you Microsoft. You can keep your system and shove it up your butthole.
The second issue I have is that we are justsuppose to ignore the fact of all these issues with the X-box One because Minecraft is coming out? Nope. It's official.
X-Box One is now called Dreamcast. Yeah. I went there.

I think they will untill the game comesout atleas, we will prob get 1 final update then

4J did announce recently that horses would not be in TU12, but in a later update. So, I think it is safe to assume that there will be at least one bug fix for TU12 and at least one more feature adding update after that... and more if horses don't make it into that particular update. In addition, Microsoft did announce that they've begun shipping a redesigned Xbox 360 today and that there are still plans to release several new games on the 360 yet.
so we have to make all new worlds. recreate everything and pay for the game again as well.... idk if that sounds all that invting. ive put a lot of work into my world and would liek to keep it going..... i just dont like the idea of having to abandon my builds for a larger world....
No backwards compatability means no XB-1 for me. Bummed out that this means we might not see 4J working on fixing the XBLA version's size problem. Portals between worlds or a static inventory would make the XBLA version so much better (if your primary world is out of something you could then import it).
I think its cool they're doing it but honestly not enough for me. Im content on the 360, and the X1 is underwhelming in my opinion. Minecraft is not enough for me to fork over 500 dollars. Plus, it seems the only real upgrade is bigger world sizes. Not much of a difference.

Retired StaffHaha, thanks
It's nice but it still hasn't sold me on the xbox one. At this point I can buy a nice gaming PC and just get the real full version of minecraft .
Hopefully they are gonna add exclusive content and I might be getting on board the xbox one hype train.

Because of this, I expect we'll be getting some support and updates into the future for a bit yet.
