Is it just me or are villages really screwy? About 99% of the villages I run into look haphazardly thrown together. Doors are out of reach, certain structures like farms are only half built, and sometimes on the very edge of the world you'll find half a village. Seriously. Buildings are cut straight down the middle to where the villager can just fall into the water. (see below) Does anyone know of any seeds with decent village(s)?
The first problem you mentioned (doors up high, etc.) is due to how the computer "reasons" the village needs to be inserted into the terrain. I believe this sort of village generation also occurs on the PC. If it doesn't, then it is something that was probably changes after version 1.1 on the PC and we might get the same change to the code sometime down the road. The second problem is due to the edge of the world existing. It has occured since villages were introduced on the Xbox. I'm not sure if 4J intends at some point to fix it.

That is just how Villages generate. It's near impossible to get them to generate perfectly in a game like this. They even still generate strangely on the PC version.
As for that picture, that is the edge of the world on the Xbox 360 Edition. If you were to load that same seed on the equivalent PC version, that Village would continue generating in that direction. Since the Xbox 360 can only handle worlds that are around 864x864, it cuts some of the generation off.
try 2314874. It is for the xbox and has four villages in almost a square. I play it on creative superflat though. I am going to see what it looks like when it's not on superflat.
