So I was starting a new map for a different type of mini-game I intend to make.
I used the seed Darkness and parts of the world generated like this....
And the best "underwater" sand generation ever....
This happened all over the map in both the snow and ice (mind you the entire map save about 2 chunks is frozen).
What's odd is that they're all half chunks, too....
Has anyone else found seeds with awkwardly straight lines of things generating in it?
looks a lot better than the 2 deep holes I have in my old world randomly put all over the place in certain areas... And that was in 1.7.3, long before the hunger bar...><
But I have noticed a few things like that here and there. Old and new generation has those little quirks...lol

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
This is the reason they scraped our current world generation for the Anvil format in 1.2.3. It really isn't a good world generation code that we have right now. Count on problems like these to disappear after the next update.

That's what sand and clay looks like underwater.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's above the water.

Which reminded me that the seed has a triple ravine in it somewhere. ._.

That is a new world.
I even recreated it and it still generates like that.
