I have watched videos, read tutorials, used the slime finder app, went on the slime website, still nothing. Can somebody please help me with this. I have tried so many times and have never gotten it to work?
What exactly have you done on the map so we can tell what you did wrong.
Common mistakes are
-not lighting up surrounding areas which allows other mobs to use precious slime spawns
-not waiting between 24 and 100(ish) blocks away from farm for 5-10mins to allow slimes to spawn
Chances are that you have a cave system that you're not aware of that, when you're standing around waiting for slimes to spawn, other hostile mobs are spawning and eating into the hostile mob limit/cap. Another possibility is that you have slimes spawning in the caves (between levels 1 and 40 in your slime chunk and/or on nearby undeveloped slime chunks) that are not actually part of your slime farm. If slimes have sufficient space in a cave and that cave happens to be in a slime chunk, they will spawn... and you may not know it or be able to see or access them from your slime farm. IF this is what is happening, then you can prevent slimes from spawning outside of your farm in three ways: 1) Find and flood those caves. 2) Find those caves and then give them a slab floor or a glass block floor (i.e. some block on which slimes will not spawn. 3) Fine those caves and fill them in sufficiently so that slimes do not have space to spawn. NOTE: You will also need to ensure those spaces are lit up such that the other hostile mobs cannot spawn.
Another common misunderstanding about slimes now is that they no longer stay spawned if you flip the game into Peaceful mode. They will now despawn instantly in Peaceful the same way all the other hostile mobs do.
Maybe your farm is too small. Dig out the 16x16 slime chunk, and extend it vertically. Go to y-40 and dig it all out to bedrock. Then add a floor every 4 layers.

I don't make YouTube videos. I play minecraft to have fun.

This is the thorough way to do it; but it doesn't necessarily do the trick. Nearby and adjacent slime chunks can also pose a problem. (That's one reason why I use the slimefinder app to try to pick a slime chunk or a couple of slime chunks that are somewhat distant from other slime chunks on the map)

The map is actually divided into chunks that are 16 blocks x 16 blocks x 128 layers each. Based onthe seed string, slimes will spawn only on specific chunks and also only within the bottom 40 layers of those chunks. These are called '"slime chunks." There are a few slime finder apps online where you can type in your seed string and find out which chunks in your map will spawn slimes.
Slimes will most effectively spawn between 24 and 32 blocks away from the player. You must light up all surrounding caves or what you can, but the distance is definitely a huge factor

A chunk is a 16x16 block space that makes up worlds. Slimes can only spawn in specific chunks that are randomly chosen at the time of generation
