I was wondering how you can place torches and redstone on dispensers on Minecraft: Xbox 360. Since you can't press shift I can't seem to find a way to do it. Any ideas?
I don't think there is a way right now. The trick in PC to do it before shift was to place the redstone on the side of a block next to the dispenser, but not sure if that works in 360
Awesome thanks! I was thinking for torches, maybe place an adjacent glass block and place a torch on it, since you can't place torches on glass it'll find the closest block and it will go on the dispenser. I'm gonna try this later, hopefully it works! Thanks everyone!

That is a great idea and along the same lines as what I suggested. Honestly I haven't ever tried placing torches on dispensers...I will now
I tried it and it does work, also with note blocks, jukeboxes, furnaces, crafting tables, but sadly it doesn't with chests, or any other function block beside those listed. Thanks again everyone for your help and hopefully this helps someone else in the future
you can also float a block above the dispenser and try to place the redstone on the underside of the block it will be placed on the dispenser.. though ive never tried placing torches on them... wonder if this would work for item frames?

Try slabs to attempt placing the torches on. You don't need silk touch to mine those afterwards.
