Basically I've got a killer seed going in survival and I'm having trouble finding a blaze spawner. My game is up to date. Do all Nether Fortresses have Blaze spawners these days? Yes or No? I think I finally found close to my perfect seed and then bam! No Blaze rods for brewing stand. It's killing my buzz man. Does resetting the Nether do anything in this case? Cause it's a good Nether aswell just no Blazes.
I have yet to find a TU9 and later nether fortress that didn't have a blaze spawner. As suggested, you can reset your nether so that for sure it will be a TU11 nether. The easiest way is to create a duplicate of your seed in creative mode and set the difficulty on Creative Easy or Higher. Listen for the sound of blazes as you tour your nether fortress. When you get to within 16 blocks of the spawner, you should hear them quite clearly. Once you find it, go back into your survival world in a survival mode and you'll be good to go.

I have one survival island world on the go with an "airy" nether with loads of lava falls and my portal spawned just off the edge of the big lava lake... way across the nether from the fortress. I've tried virtually every way I can think of to get to it except for running a cobblestone bridge right across the nether on the surface of the lava lake - a real pain with ghasts shooting at one the whole time. If I do ever get over there without dying, I'm not going out collecting glowstone in that nether... I'll just build a blaze spawner grinder and get it from them.
Mate. My Nether is just one Massive lava lake with a 6 story gigantic fortress, and still half of it is burried in Nether rack. But any glow stone is way the hell there.

since you found the blaze spawner, you can just kill the blaze and they drop glowstone as well as the blaze rods. enchant a sword with looting and you get it even faster.

I just had a similar issue. Playing in a friends world on hard survival, my nether portal was against a bedrock wall, with the fortress about 100 blocks away from me, and a lava lake separating us. Sigh. But, I had a clever idea. I built a 3 block wide bridge over to it using pistons hooked up to a slow clock, like 20 ticks. While the pistons were retracted I place 3 blocks really quick...rinse and repeat untill you hit your destination. The bridge is staggered of course, 12 over 1 up, but it looks great. Just build the walls and roof as you go. I did not get hit once by a ghast, let alone die.
