I'm on the seed the godfather and its a survival island world with a swamp biome at the the top left of the map and was wondering if I could get animals to spawn in that biome and if so how big of a space co I need to get them to spawn
They should spawn in swamp. I have a survival island that's probably about a 30x30 block space. For a while I had no animals and lived off fish and bread, until one day I had atleast 5 of every animal including wolves spawn. Now I'm just overloaded with animals

I'm the one to posted The Godfather to the seeds list. If you lay down a chunk of land (16 x 16 blocks) and transplant some grass blocks via a silk touch pickaxe (so that eventually the man-made island will become covered in grass), you will have all the varieties of animals start to spawn in that area. Then, I literally swam them across the map to the big island adjacent to spawn, fed them wheat right away, and then eventually started breeding them after I got pairs of each into the pens. I now have a full blown farm on that map to prove that it does work in Survival Mode.
The chickens started spawning first... i.e. before I had my man-made island up to 16 x 16; however, I couldn't get the cows to start spawning until I added onto the island to get it up over 16 x 16. It may or may not be important as well, but I also eventually used some bonemeal to make some tall grass on the man-made island.
guys, one way of spawning animals is to go a far distance from ur island coz they spawn when chunks get loaded(sometimes)
This information about the seed "The Godfather" was posted some time ago. The biomes in that seed have since shifted due to title updates. I don't think the landless swamp biome mentioned still exists on that particular map.

It was a plains biome, but animals do spawn in swamps, so it should be the same. Yet I have no idea what triggered them to spawn for me
