The only biome that can take up an entire world is the ocean biome. That is only because the biome is designed to be anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 blocks across.
The only way we could get a single biome in our worlds is if 4J made something that allowed it or ported over the Large Biomes generation option that the PC has.
That would be tough to find... like the person said above, ocean seems to be the one most liable to get for 90%+ of the map. Although I have seen a completely snow map... So I'm sure there might be one for the others too. I mean that is a lot of seed #s that you could enter, and I don't think anyone yet has seen them all...lol
Chances are small though for most the other biome types, as most times it is mainly a mixture....

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
It's all random chance, really.
Oceans are the most likely of them all, but any of them are theoretically possible.
Your best bet is either an all-night seed fest or to dig around the Internet for a while. =\
For example: An all swamp world, and all plains world, an all mountain world, etc
