so i went to the trouble of making a chicken cooker using netherrack and fire but none drops cooked chicken, they only drop feathers sometimes, what up with that ?
i seen lots of youtube videos showing it can be done though

Are they PC video's?
I've never even heard of a chicken cooker
my only guess is that the fire is burning the chicken breast... Maybe?...

I know it works on cows and pigs, but I've never tried incinerating a chicken.
I always just throw mine into a furnace anyhow....

I have never seen a chicken one with netherrack but I have seen one using lava and it cooked beef and pork and droped sheep wool. Could you post the link to the video I would like to see it.

i built one ages ago that shot arrows through lava into chickens. It dropped cooked chicken, so its possible. unless they for some reason changed it in an update..
nope just jumped on creative and used a flint and steel on a chicken delicious cooked chicken dropped out of him

A cooker was originally based with lava blades or lava drops far as I know...O_o

I can probably see why netherrack wouldn't work. As you need something to kill them quickly after being on fire. Netherrack works on steve, but doesn't do quite the same with other creatures. It may kill them eventually, but I guess those drops are being burnt out... lol

So using lava to do the job should work. like the person above me mentioned....:D

I've noticed shooting a chicken with a flaming arrow doesn't drop cooked chicken either. I only get the raw chicken. Works well on cows though.

As far as I know, on the xbox anyway, the flames on an arrow are just visual.....They don't actually burn anything. Of course the last time I looked was about 6 months ago so that may have changed.
