I doubt a second edition of Minecraft XBLA will be released, though =\

Lets just hope that minecraft in xboxone will be amazing, I really hope 4J is one of the multiple studios involved. I know that its a little too much of sports, but I am unbelievably excited for it. Can't waitWay, way to many commands on xbox one
If you want the PC version, go play the PC version. I don't understand why people want a completely different version of the game to be like another version.

I like sports and I play video games.... I definitely wouldn't mind being able to pull of a live football game while playing something like Minecraft. I also thought the Kinect has potential. Potential that wasn't used correctly.
Microsoft seems to have realized this and is now reworking the next Kinect to be much better than its predecessor.
I'm honestly surprised at the amount of crying and whining over the Xbox One. It's a console. You stick a game in and it plays it. End of story. You don't have to watch TV. You don't have to listen to music. You don't have to use Skype or Internet Explorer. It's all optional. If you want to play your games, play your games. The presence of those other things doesn't degrade the gaming experience in the least.
With the xbox one 4jstudios shouldn't have no problem making minecraft like the pc now with 500 gb hardrive, 8gb of ram and a 8 core cpu. It already pass the recommendation for the pc version of minecraft.
I am sad though that microsoft spent 40 minutes talking about the television features and only 20 minutes talking about games. I do hope it has picture in picture though where I can watch tv on the side while playing a game.

You and I seem to be the only ones. The only thing I hope is that all the "Entertainment" features don't up the price.
Minecraft 360, in its current form, will not run on the Xbox One.
Due to architectural differences in the processors, xbox 360 games will not run on the new console. This means there is no backwards compatibility, which includes Xbox Live Arcade games.
Hopefully this will give the developers a chance to completely upgrade Minecraft.
In addition, it could become better with the introduction of Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform. This newly introduced system allows developers to offload processing to the cloud, and provide better, dedicated servers, rather than the traditional p2p server system.
I see this relating to Minecraft in two ways: Rentable 24/7 servers using Azure, with an increase in the player cap, due to the processing of the cloud. Larger worlds because the world rendering could be done by the cloud.

What are your sources??? Microsoft didn't say yet if the game was going to be backward compatible or not and 4jstudios hasn't made any statement on the future development of minecraft on the next console. Sounds like rumors to me.

The end was my speculation about what it could mean for the future development of Minecraft 360.
But the non compatibility of games has been confirmed by multiple sources. Arcade games are coded for Xbox 360, therefore they run on that architecture.

Mustache guy you just killed my dreams and many others.
Good-bye xbox hello ps4
Don't be too fast to drop the Xbox and pick up the PS4. Sony still hasn't announced how used games will work on the PS4. All we know is that the PS4 will play used games. At the PS4 launch even, Sony said they would talk more about how the used games will be handled later, probably at E3.
It's very likely that both the PS4 and Xbox One will require fees to play used games. Honestly, other than that, the Xbox One looks great. It comes packaged with a Kinect so that fact that it requires one to be attached to function doesn't bother me at all. It's not like you're required to use it to play games.
I'll probably end up getting both a PS4 and an Xbox One like I did with the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Besides reguraly buying and playing newer titles, but i always end up going back to those games, so for me its a complete deal breaker. Also if Minecraft comes to the Xbox One it needs to be able to import existing worlds. If Minecraft goes to the PS4 then buhbye Microsoft. If Minecraft comes to neither, then I'll probably end up buying either one based on the available titles and only when the original release prices start to drop. I also pray the prices for games come down, but history says they'll prolly end up going up again.
I agree with you I'm not going to be happy though till I hear it from microsoft or 4jstudios themselves that they can't or it won't do xbox 360 games or arcade. It would be so sad to have to start a new world on a different system and never get to enjoy the current world when the game finally catches up to the pc.
I was shocked at how much that presentation was geared towards the States for an international reveal... That said...
The States might be where the most of their sales are. It makes sense to gear towards those most likely to buy. I'm in no way saying that it's a fact. Just an idea.
