I'm one who loves the look of the nice lush green grass as a posed to the horrible swamp grass or the dull, pale mountain grass so I always build my towns around these areas.
There is a desert right next to this grass as well and it starts to turn a yellowish colour and just looks horrible because it's where my hedges are passing through so they go sour as well.
I have tried digging away at the sand and replacing it with dirt however the colour remains the same, I just want to know if anyone knows how to change the grass back to original lush green so I am not stuck with this urine soaked colour.
It's a problem with your biome mate. At the moment there's no way to change your biome so you're going to have to deal with it or move your stuff more into the forest or whatever biome you like.
While you can't change the biome's grass color, spruce and birch leaves do not change color regardless of biome, you could consider using those in your hedges.

Kind regards
