I dont know what people normally play, but after Halo 3's population started to decline I couldn't really find a game that could keep my interest. I was basically only playing arena type shooters and when Halo Reach and Halo 4 came out I kind of lost interest in the franchise.
I find it strange I can buy a 20 dollar game and have so many features, so many things to keep you busy. But its out of my realms.
If you told me I'd be playing with legos in a video game more than a 60 dollar shooter a few years ago i'd laugh at you. Its amazing how addicative this game is.
I honestly think they should charge this as a full title and upgrade the staff. The world needs more minecraft. If millions of people are buying this game and its 2nd in the major nelson...dont you think its time to upgrade and start popping out some DLC?
I dont know where or when the point was when talking smack to someone I detroyed in arena shooters changed from me building stuff, brewing potions, and chopping down square trees...but it both scares and excites me.

Same here... I realized that I loved the fact that this game didn't tell me what to do. I was playing games like dishonored and far cry and they couldn't hold my interest. And constantly kept telling me to go here or there.. or read this or that......
I thought how the time playing these could be better spent Minecrafting it up. Beyond this game I play BO2, GOW, Fifa and Tiger.(I have buddies I have to keep happy)
I have gamefly, so I give other games a try. Now i play them on easy just to get them out of the way to get back to Minecraft as quickly as possible!
Minecraft fits right in with the kind of game that I play the most. Sure I play Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, etc, etc. My true love in video games though is open world games. Whether they be shooters, RPGs, or games like Minecraft.
Any game that allows me to do what I want is my kind of game. Things like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, MMOs, and Minecraft are the cream of the crop for me when it comes to games.
