I really hope so, And there is no need to have open invites off if it's a greifer or someone you don't like you just kick them or take there privileges away
This would naturally be a feature you could turn off and on that randoms could join...
And in any case, I have it to where when people join they cant do anything. I'm pretty sure most people have their settings like that.
It's then that I would ask what's the point of having people join your game and be unable to do anything?... just to have them all stand around and watch you play? Seems kind of... narcisistic, doesn't it?
I prefer to have only my friends join... and really, only my friends I can trust with all the same privileges I have so we can play together and compete as equals in the game. For me, however, any of the online settings are somewhat meaningless... I play splitscreen, so if I don't trust anyone enough to have them in my livingroom, they're not going to be able to join my world at any time anyway.

Because there is people that want to find minecraft buddies fast, and natually there is fighting games like hunger games and skyblock battle and such.
I'm possitive this would be one of the best updates yet.
Connecting the community better and showing off your work. I dont really see the negatives besides griefers.

I'm not arguing against a matching system; what I was asking was about the current practice of specifically inviting strangers into a world and then making it so that they can't do anything because of fear of griefers. I would think it would be better instead to just limit access to one's close and trusted friends (that is, since you were asking others why they would choose to just play with friends only).
I would presume that for a stranger matching system to work, people should be matched into a world just as the world is newly created. At that point in time, all the players are starting on an even playing field and no single player has too much emotionally invested in that world. I would make it then that, subsequently, only the original matchees could re-enter that world after that date of creation of it. Yes, I do recognize that the roster of players would likely diminish over time since the ones who drop out would not be replaced by new players. Eventually, there would likely just be one or even no players left using the map at all. Perhaps then, the system could delete the map entirely if no one logs into it for a certain period of time (say, 3 months).
I envision a map sharing system for adventure maps... where the adventure maps would be uploaded to the system by their creators (perhaps with a small fee for usage of the main storage system) and then people could download copies of the maps to their own Xboxes to be played on; but without ever changing the original adventure map stored on the system.
I really dont care what they do.
As long as they dont make it to where other people can save a copy of your map.
That would be horrible if they allowed that. Everything with map sharing, fileshare, etc, already have tons of people that tryand steal other peoples work. I definitely see Minecraft being no different if that were to happen.

That's the rub isn't it - Some people who want map sharing don't really want to share their maps with strangers. They don't seem to want to allow strangers to alter their maps in any way or to have full play privileges in their maps either. They seems to want to be able to invite strangers into their worlds just to gawk and heap adulations on the creator.
As a stranger to the creator/owner of a map, if I'm not going to be allowed to actually play in the map and enjoy it (including being able to save my progress in it), then why would I ever want to download it at all?... and if that's the case, why should the developer go to all the trouble to develop a map sharing system?
If you don't want other people to save a copy of your map, then simply don't upload it to a file sharing system.
My question is map sharing/some other system, in the works at all? Because from what I've seen most people are expecting it or asking for it...
I know there is people that want to play with other people and dont even use these fourms. (or are too lazy to get on the computer)
But I feel like a open invite system would REALLY benifit the game.
Simple games like castle miner z have this.
Lets open up the community.
