I myself have no End since I live in a TU6 world, so nothing.
However, one server in which I play uses it for massive Ender Pearl farming, and I spent 2 hours there mining out about 1,000 Obsidian from one of the pillars.
I also used the Void section in my tri-dimensional map for a fast-paced battle area.

I didn't think about the mob cap. But since the villager update is around the corner I'll be breeding the heck out of them...I guess I could use that to control it though so I dont have to go looking for animals... : )
I put bedrock around the spawn platform, so when I have players that want to greif. I let them check out my end, where they can never leave. Unless they were lucky enough to have a bucket of lava. That's all I use it for.

I took that a step further, actually.
I rigged a map with End Portals so that anyone entering uninvited would instantly be teleported into the End, and the mercy of a platform floating above the abyss.
I eventually changed this to a lava funnel with screaming Ghasts at the spawn.
...It woke someone's roommate up once, so it works pretty well.

Can you build nether portals in the end?
Is there a block per block ratio like the over world?
Is there any secrets that I dont know. I'm thinking of doing a skyblock type thing and clearing it out first. Not sure....
