Can anyone give me info on any changes that might have occurred in animal spawning in the past few months on 360? I stopped playing back in February because every time I made an animal farm, I would have random animals spawn within my fenced in areas. When I have red sheep in a pen together the last thing I want is a freaking chicken or cow spawning in there. Has animal respawning been disabled yet like it is on pc, or is there any way to at least disable it on the 360? Thanks for any info.
nope, hasnt changed. you still get spawns in your pens. only way to avoid it is to make the floor of your pen glass. but sheep regrow their wool now and you need grass on the floor of your pens for them to eat to regrow. up side is you only need 1 of each color sheep now, down side is other animals can spawn in your pens. but you know what they say, if life gives you lemons, make lemonaide. just kill any thing that spawns in the pens that you dont want in there. you get xp and food, and maybe even feathers or leather.
Thanks for the info. Still a pain in the butt though. In my opinion having both breeding and mob re-spawns is a tad redundant. Give us one or the other. Or at least give us the option to disable re-spawns if we prefer to go the breeding route. ah well..
If you stick 3 animals in a 5 x 5 pen (parents + baby) and double-wide fence so that each adjacent pen is not separated by just a single-wide fence line, you will have minimal problems with either wild animals spawning inside your pens and adjacent domestic animals from re-spawning inside the wrong pen when you re-enter the game after saving and exiting it. Also, if you make your farms large enough, you will fill you passive mob spawn cap with your domestic animals and wild animals will no longer spawn elsewhere in your world.
