I bought my son the game .. shortly after his 6th B-day... He wore me down at Gamestop.
I popped it in for him and let him play,he was terrified of the dark in the game... The gamma was set low and it was pitch black...( Didn't realize for weeks we could change the gamma)
He played for hours... before bedtime he asked me to help him build a house so that when he woke up he'd have a "cool house".I built for hours... Came back from work the next day to realize he was elsewhere on the map. I said "Buddy this place is huge! Now we'll never find your house..." we looked for a long time before before we gave up and had to build another....... The size of the map at that time seemed intimidating.
Probably like a lot of Xbox first-timers, I spawned in the tutorial area. My friend, who had played Minecraft before, spawned in next to me. He tried to be patient with me as I worked my way through each little instruction. When I finally got permission to leave the tutorial area, I felt a big sense of accomplishment... briefly... as I soon noticed he had a large house almost completely built and had already mined a bunch of coal and iron... I knew then that I still had a lot to learn.
My first time on Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition was time travel. It took me into the past. After playing the PC version for almost 2 years, I had to adjust to the Xbox 360 Edition.
1- I remember my first map i didn't know how to make torches and kept getting killed when a zombie spawned in my house.
2- I remember at night with low gamma not being use to the graphics and thinking I was being swarmed by a herd of creepers. There were 2 or 3 creepers and a couple dozen cactus.
3- I remember not knowing diamonds were only on low levels (so couldn't find any) and then finding 5 in a cave and messageing all my friends "5 DIAMONDS!"
I remember trying to build a mw3 map (resistance) as my first house. I was so frustrated and confused on how to play the game i laugh at myself now. Without my brother, i probably wouldn't even play this game. If anyone starts the game by himself, i feel bad for them.
My trip, too, was a travel back in time, sort of.
I had watched over 50 tutorials and almost memorized the Wiki (to the point of knowing useless facts about Paper and Villager spawn conditions).
When I came into my randomly-created seed, it was almost nostalgic--so simple back then...I kind of wish I could go back to it....
By my first day I had a house and the start of a mine set up, along with Iron tools.
My first true experience on here, though, was I came into my friend's world right before school.
I challeneged a Creeper to a fist fight and nearly won.
The hole still sits in that world to the day....
for me it was PE - very soon after its release so it was very much like classic...
i was on the seed 'theburdenofculture' and i recall finding a huge above ground cave and being awed by the size of it.
so i proceeded to just explore the world, got lost (even on 256x256 map size) - found that cave system again and built myself a huge compound over the next few weeks.
since then, i bought the 360 version shortly after its release, and then PC. and i play all three version whenever i get a chance, truly addicted.
Its crazy thinking back, the first time I saw a monster I tried to kill it with a yellow flower. Awesome fail. I came from peaceful straight to hard, and had to learn fast. Its funny because its still rooted in me to use wood in the furnace rather than Mining for coal until I have a farm, and large house with at least 4 beds for when friends come. I never even go underground until after I establish a hotel setting. Funny tick if you ask me.
My first was in single player, although I watched my cousin play before hand. Still have that first map I was on, and that happens to be Arcavia. At first I did have it on easy scouted a spot and build a dirt structure on a mountain. From that I sorta expanded into a cobblestone castle that today I would consider a bit bland and flat looking. Most of the mobs didn't bother me much up there... Eventually I just got fed up with the mobs and just played on peaceful. Didn't want what I worked on to go boom.><
Regardless my starter times were mainly improving what I build and learning this and that. I actually played on the tutorial world my second time just to go through it once. That is just the first time on the xbox edition, as I picked up a free demo for the computer before that since I didn't like the xbox one. Oh I guess was my first time in the tutorial world was the demo. Just happen to remember that. Oh well, not that I could save that world anyhow. ><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
It was a lot like my first experience in Fallout. Fully involved. Jumping in my seat because I got spooked. Feeling so safe when I got that hovel built into the side of a small hill. Started mining, ran into a underground cavern. Meet Mr. Creeper. Safe feeling gone. Then I noticed a peaceful setting next time I started the game. Truly safe....."Hey SUPER, watch out for that drop!"

For me I spawned on an Obsidian pad surrounded by lava with no privileges on my friends world. Definitely not cool.

Stay fluffy~
I spent the majority of the day chopping trees.
Then I tried building a biiiig wood box.
Then when I was mid-build it was night.
I got exploded and shot and killed several times.
I dug a hole in the ground and cried for awhile until the sun rose.
I jumped out of the hole at the break of day.
I got exploded by a creeper
