So I have an egg tower with a gaggle of chickens in it, and a nearby pen crowded with sheep. So I decided to make a chicken pit strictly for feather-farming.
I threw 36+ eggs and not one spawn.
I killed a few in the egg tower. NOW they would spawn, but only to replace the ones I killed. After that, I might as well be throwing air.
How far away do you have to be from a maximum capacity location for the spawn counter to be reset?
The spawn limit applies to the entire map at all times, no matter where you are on it. Animals on the southwest corner of your map are still kept track of by the game even if you're on thee northeast corner. If you want to kill off animals and make room for spawns in your farm, you're going to have to kill off animals around the map.
