So many people complain about the lag or dis advantages pf the Redstone circuitry in the Xbox edition. Well. Ive decided to make a good use of it. Such as a long delay in an event or function. Perhaps making it to an end of a room in a certain amount of time (Just suggestions, im not the one to make adventure style maps) but. I believe good use could come in hand. So besides the obvious "Just put a lot of redstone", would there be any effective and preferably compact way of causing redstone lag? And do block updates contribute to this in any way?
Hehe...uh no. I did however sit down one day and figured out exactly how many ticks you could get from torch burnout. I didn't realize it was constant...but it is. I think it was like 32 ticks or something with the particular setup I used. I didn't fully test the theory with different types of configurations, but it was still constant with the one I did use. It used two torches and it didn't matter if you had 30 pieces of redstone or just 2.
