There's a lot of things they leave out on the update lists. I did notice TU9 brought a lot of changes in sound such as new explosion sounds and blaze sounds. It is possible, and likely, that new lava sounds were also added, especially considering that those changes weren't on the update list.
sounds like a slime moving around quickly. The reason I say this is because it is erratic apart from the lava popping. The lava popping and the sound are not in-sync enough to be another lava sound. The new lava sound doesn't sound like slimes moving around. I don't think they added that yet. Might be a smaller slime though since those things jump quicker.
I do know it is not one of the big ones as they are slower moving. hmm...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I've never heard that sound towards the end there.
I'll have to stand by lava for a few and see if that comes up.
