i posted on here a few days ago and couldnt get a good enought answer. so after some time i figured out a few things i can do to help with it. 1. Appear offline when connected to XBL. 2. Shut off Notifications. After doing those two everything seemed to clear up for everyone. Note anyone on server had to do this, it's a pain but better to put up with instead of random creeper explosions! If the first two didnt help also try clearing your hdd's Cache.. I'm assuming you are referring to the PC version.
What I do to reduce lag to a minimum is use OptiFine Mod, Razer Game Booster, and also plugging a flash drive into your computer and enabling ReadyBoost. This drastically improves my FPS in-game. Hope this helps!
What kind of "lag" do you mean? "Lag" in the traditional sense, is caused by high latency over the network. Framerate drops are different, I have experienced that when I have traversed most of my world without saving. Saving, exiting and then loading in again often sorts it.
I mean like when I am not hosting it is fine at first and it seems the longer i play the more delay i get for blocks to be mined. It also will be a delay for chest or furnaces interface to pop up. The only thing I can do is exit and join back in but doing that every 10 minutes isn't enjoyable.
