I had not thought about making a display room for my armor and sword and bow i killed the dragon with until recently. But now I'm hooked on the idea. Got the idea from OverlookeDEnT. So display with item frames in a room or temple above the end portal. The dragon egg can stand on it's own. Started working on the temple but haven't made a final descision on the room and such. How about you?
I made it, enchanted it, used it and then framed it up on my bedroom wall, the diamond armor, sword, and bow that I used, everytime I walk up to my room I see it and smile.

Yeah, I love my little makeshift shrine. That's the temporary spot for it.
It'll be a grand display when I get my big build done or when we make the downtown museum area.
Like One_Block said... every time I walk by it it makes me smile. Mainly because I mined the block directly under Bloody Phoenix and watched as he hilariously fell into the void.... Good times.

I probably will sometime down the road. I'm not really using any item frames right now though due to the reported issues with dogs taking damage from them. I like my dogs.

i have not had a problem with item frameshurting dogs. i have a dozen or so item frames and the same number of dogs.

Good to hear. I suspect I'm being somewhat overly cautious or perhaps just being lazy and using an excuse. I'm working on another project right now that's going to take me awhile.
I have just completed my temple (so happy about it) to display the armor, egg and weapons. I built it over the portal so you can enter the portal to the end from the temple. STill have a couple of maitenance and access shafts I need to build but the temple is finished and open for viewing if anyone wants to see it. I have tried posting pics but have not been successful.
I wonder how many armor displays ill see with no dragons blood on them. This, I think will be a huge thing to do. Seems every other world has a dragon egg displayed. I think when I tour this weekend there will be LOTS of new shrines. No offense to any posters. I'm NOT saying that's what you did. Did you?

my armor was diamond enchanted lvl 30 and considering how long it took me to get that and how quick i beat the dragon, im hanging onto it
Did not even need armor. The fight is stupidly easy, making enchanted diamond armor just for it would be a waste.
It's not the level of difficulty that makes it memorable. Sex is easy but is memorable. It's like riding a bike, driving a car or flying a plane for the first time. Sure lots of people have done it and it's not horribly dangerous but is a fun and exciting new thing. I even carry a license to drive with me to commemorate the experience.
I don't need clothes to drive a car but ussually wear them anyway it's part of the experience. So you should wear armor to kill the dragon too so you can display it.
The truthiness is obvious. Armor displays are good.
