"Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" Retail Copy - In Stores June 4!
That's right! "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" is coming to retail edition and will be available to purchase late this April! PlayXBLA announced last month that it would be rolling out a retail copy of "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" on June 4. It was originally scheduled to come to stores on April 30, but was delayed so it would include the latest update. This physical copy of the game will include the same features and updates as the current version available for download from the XBox Live Marketplace. It will cost $20, which is the equivalent to the current price downloadable with Microsoft Points. It is currently available for preorder at Gamestop, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.
The retail version will be available in the US on June 4, along with the following countries in later this June:
still hating the double tap sprint, but im glad I'm on a controller and not a keyboard and mouse
Not hard to configure the PC to use a controller. Heck, buy the windows wireless receiver for your xbox controller and you can switch between the 2 (as long as you don't mind syncing each time {easier to have multiple controllers}).
Search Amazon for "Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows" or "B000HZFCT2" for the wireless receiver or use a USB wired one.
Google has several links on how to configure PC controllers for Minecraft.
Controller being available to both makes them equivalent in that respect.
Now, having split screen, and just the convenience of easy working use, that are some of the benefits of the console version normally (we'll ignore the TU9 fiasco for that generalization).
Considering how small the game is - 114 MB for the game, 30 MB for the title update (which includes all changes/fixes of the previous updates, so there is only that one TU file), and around 1 MB for all skin packs combined - it does seem like a waste to sell the game on a CD, let alone a DVD. All together the game requires less than one fifth of a CD, and only a small fraction of a DVD.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.

It was actually supposed to come out on April 30th but was pushed back because of the train wreck of bugs that TU9 was.
Personal preference. Some prefer controllers, some don't.
