I have a train of minecarts 4 carts long. It has to chestcarts with a furnacecart on wither end. I've notice that when they reach the end of the track (stopped by a block) they will sometimes move through each other, or occupy the same space. Has anybody else noticed this?

That's normal. Carts going into each other has been like this for a very long time. There is a possible way of stopping it but as of right now I forgot how.
yes it happends on pc they are like any other entity. they can go inside each other or bounce off for a little while. that's been in mc for a while. minecraft cant do trains very well or in my world at all. even if u took the horse rope option. it actually is just a wire going from the horse face to the post it doesn't keep the horse close to the post. when u add it it just tells the horse u can only walk so many meters away from this entity. minecraft isn't a gaming engine so we can do all these advanced features and stuff. maybe one day minecraft 2 yes I said 2 will come out with frostbite engine or something and be way more sweeter...... maybe
