I puchased and have been playing minecraft for the 360 since it was first released.
It has been the best $20 I'v ever spent IMHO, but it seems that everytime I think i have found a world i could play on for awhile I discover that the last 1/3 of the map is a huge desert or swamp biome.
There should deffiantly be a biome checklist somwhere.
Then you should probably peruse this area of the Xbox 360 Edition forum. There are many seeds in that section that contain all biomes and all manner of combinations of biomes.

Some people would be tickled pink to find a mostly desert or swamp biome.
OP should definitely get to know the forum... and visit the seed forum... but that's just common sense.
