So my friend came over the other day we were playing some minecraft.
As much as i hate split screen i played it anyways...But to play Split screen and use 3rd person?
I had no idea if he knew what he was doing. I asked him "You do know you can play in first person right?"
"Yes I just prefer this" the whole 2 hours of playing i wanted to slap the controller out of his hands...
Do you know anyone who does this? Do you do this?
Edit - He did Change in between everynow and then tho
I have one friend who does play in 3rd person fairly frequently. Since he's learned the skill, he finds it a great advantage for spotting creepers before they get near to him.

i tried but i cant place blocks anywhere near where i want them
i do switch back and forth with the 3rd view to check for enemies when im wandering around at night
Outside of kingtut313's example the only other time I find myself in 3rd person is right as I try to run from something and it would be really inopportune.

i feel ya on that one. happened to me yesterday. i died at level 40 because of it. i absolutely hate that the joystick does that coincidering when i hear the creeper ready to blow up behind me i freak out trying to run but his that stupid p.o.v. button
