So i've been searching for a good blaze xp farm guide for my survival world and so far i can only find ethoslab's design which takes an enormous ammount of resources to make.
Has anyone found a good xp farm that doesn't require a tremendous ammount of resources? If so can you give me the link to it?
you can easily earn every resource you need or even better you can hunt down the blaze... IMO just box them in...
Apparently you haven't seen his design..it takes hundreds of redstone and alot of sticky pistons for it...and as for boxing them in and hunting them...that still takes alot of resources derp.
Have fun! I actually did this and it works amazing. The video even explains the redstone really well.
Edit:
Also, used this in survival. And when you get to the three pistons in the back [one to filter, two to crush], DON'T make a vertical stack of 3. I simply moved the top piston to the side, because there was a bug/glitch where the middle piston wouldn extend when it was supposed to but not retract until the top piston retracted [thus crushing the blazes to absolute death].
Last note, use 23 repeaters instead of 24 for T-Flop [you'll know when you see the long line of repeaters]. Leaves all blazes for two hits only, and you COULD mess with the last repeater to make it only one hit, but easier to just use 23 xD
Did in peaceful though ;D Also, if I helped you, please click the green button in the bottom right!
Edit2:
About resources....
Needed:
-Tons of cobblestone [or any other basic block] - Walls, floor, etc
-Stone for pressure plates and button [thus coal]
-A BUNCH of sticky pistons [maybe... 30? Just off the top of my head]
-Two normal pistons
-Blaze monster spawner
-Various tools [pickaxes, ladders for moving up and down]
-Optional glass for end so you can see the blazes above and below the filter
-Bunch of redstone [two redstone torches, redstone wire, repeaters, etc]
I suggest creating a slime farm [ask if you need help], which will get you a TON of resources. If you already have a bit of diamond, I suggest creating an enchantment table and enchanting a pickaxe until you get Fortune 3 [and helpfully Unbreaking 3] [surround enchantment table with bookcases to make it stronger but needs more exp points]. This allows you to get a ton of resources [coal, redstone, diamond] with less blocks. And slime farm helps to purposefully excavate chunks near bedrock, so you can find a ton of resources.

Was that "derp" really necessary, especially someone trying to help?
And there IS no mob farm that doesn't need a "alot of resources" if you can't even use cobblestone to surround and box in the mobs.
If you want a legit mob farm, then you need "alot" of resources. You want a less extensive mob farm? Box in the blazes, and hit their legs. Oh, too many resources? Then don't. Do. Anything.
Derp. [feel like a fool for posting this entire post just cuz of that crap, but I'll leave here just to still help out]
Sorry but i use derp all the time when i get lame responses...and i can easily make any other spawner (skeleton/zombie/spider) with only a few buckets of water and 1-2 pistons...whereas most blaze guides require 20+ sticky pistons and alot of redstone.
Well, you can pretty much do the same thing for blazes, just use lava instead of water [if it works, shouldn't harm blazes]. However, you still need random blocks to entrap the blazes, just like other mobs... Although, in fairness, you DO need walls and a celing for blazes specifically since they fly but those can be the very common cobblestone I hope you keep stacked somewhere xD

I have a cobblestone generator so i have plenty of that..the resources im talking about is redstone, and sticky pistons which i can rarely get slimes to spawn in the chunks i have found them in b4.

Will thats not very nice. I Just thought every minecraft player would have enough resource blocks, such as (Cobblestone,Dirt,Netherrack, and sandstone) Well I don't know about sandstone...but still pardon me for making a lame post

i actually think your post was the most helpful of the lot. i made my blaze farm with just a dozen or so netherrack blocks.
I clearly stated that the resources i have a hard time finding was redstone and slimeballs for the sticky pistons...does nobody know how to read?
Does nobody know how to read? Gosh, I mean, really? Like, c'mon! It's pretty much said multiple times here and there in response to that exaclty! Derp. FA-IL. Tsk, tsk. Pow wow. Boom. Same annoying feeling I've been getting, except for end...Dunno why xD
Note to others: Trying to get point across of how annoying TC's posting style is... Sorry if this gets anyone else mad.

That's the exact reason I suggested that design. It takes only a few stacks of cobblestone and if you do like I did and NOT use any pistons then you don't need any Redstone or slime balls.........
nowhere in your original post do you mention redstone or slime. you simply asked for a low resource blaze farm design and the very first response gave you exactly that. there is no need to be rude.

Same, even my lengthy one was skewed off since I didn't even fully understand what TC meant by limited resources until afterwards...
And that's why that derp annoyed me like crazy

/thread.
All I ever needed was 2 fire resistance potions to go from lvl 0 - 30.
