here is the situation. I have a survival island, checked the entire map and there is no animals anywhere. I also don't want to set it on creative to add them. I had read a while back that there was something funny about the spawning mechanics for passive mobs.
So do more passive mobs spawn, provided there conditions are met, (i.e. on grass with whatever light level)?
They have to be on grass blocks.... BUT!!!. picture this.. if your whole map is considered an Ocean Biome.. then..... you're screwed..... Passive mobs do not spawn in Ocean Biomes.With the Exception of squid. Good luck
