Is it just me or are villages loading without churches?

They are made entirely of cobblestone, look funny, extremely small and has some kind of alter as well as a second floor where the priest sleeps and then has a roof. The last time I seen one in a seed was before Tu7 it was before villagers were added

I have been generating new worlds tonight and have seen churches in several villages as I've flown around to check the seeds out.

Really? i must be having bad luck then as every seed i've generated post Tu7 has no churches, well unless i go out of my way to make one :/

those are supposed to be churches? i thought they were watch towers. my seed Mystique has 4 i think

Some villages dont have a blacksmith, some villages don't have a library/church etc. It's the random generation of the villages. Sometimes it is generated, sometimes it does not.

Must be a string of bad luck... just like streaks when rolling dice. Keep rolling, sooner or later the dice will come up with a 7.

Hope so, hope to find at least one complete village again. It's bad enough when I don't even get a blacksmith or just a straight well.

Definately there as.

I never looked at that building as being a church. On PC does it generate a priest or something cause it just looks like a castle tower to me.

Yes, it does. More information here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Village_structures . Also, i believe the frequency of which structures generate is slightly tweaked in our favor on the XBox, due to the limited world sizes, but i have no proof of that.

You must have gotten lucky on you're TU7 seed. Most of my villages have had either a blacksmith's OR a church, but seldom both in one village. Both buildings are easy enough to replicate though.

For me, blacksmiths won't spawn in villages.

I was seed searching and posted some seeds in the seed thread. Some of them have villages with churches. One had at least two villages with churches.

If those things are churches... wow they are bad. lol I always tear them down and make a more detailed one to fill the space. Sometimes I go all out and change the entire village.

Does one of your seeds include a complete village at least one or two IE: Butcher, Blacksmith, Church, Library, Large and small houses as well as wood huts and wheat farms?

I get those often, I think it was just a few seeds I was exploring that didn't have one. Libraries and Butcher shops though are rare.

There are at least 4 villages... all right up the middle of the map. Center village has a church and blacksmith as well as a lot of other buildings. I saw what appeared to be a blacksmith in the northern most village. The southern most village is actually just a house and a well.

I don't think this seed has a shroom biome, though.
