Since the TU9 update, I've noticed from the few (less that 10) strongholds I've explored on random seeds, I've not seen any fountains in them anymore. I used to know I was always near the end portal room because it normally had a fountain either outside, or at most 2 "rooms" away from it... Anyone else notice that their strongholds from TU9 seeds no longer have a fountain in them?

I have only hunted through one stronghold since TU9 came out and that was for a poster on the forums. It did have a fountain, but I couldn't tell you how close it was to the portal room since I didn't find the portal room in the time I had to look.

Like you I thought that the portal room would be close to the fountain. But on my map it is on another level and more than a few rooms away. I found it by listening to the silverfish that were spawning and then worked my way around until I found the portal room. Then I dug a shaft straight up a couple of rooms over and put a ladder in so I could easily get to it from the surface.

I started a new world just after downloading the newest update and come to realize that this new world does not even have a Nether Fortress in it. I thought they were supposed to have fixed this problem.

In a survival world we have searched all over the map for one, yet we can cannot find one. We even resorted to using the x-ray glitch, and we still could not find a fooping stronghold.
