I would love to have hardcore on xbox and agree with most that this would most likely be a single player thing. Hardcore is fun to play, it forces you to play vary cautiously and not take risks you don't need. But the main problem I see is what would stop someone from keeping a back up on the cloud drive just in case they died? I guess the main people who would enjoy this is the ones who already play and delete the world if they die.

Not really an issue. You're only cheating yourself.
You can do this on PC by copying the gamesave and saving that copy somewhere, then, if you die, replace the saves and you're back where you were before.

only reason I would do this, would be if i built something awesome, and i wanted to show people. plus i would have switched to creative
Hardcore Mode would be good if the host and server issues around it can be solved, but if Hardcore can work, how about Ultra Hardcore? For those that don't know what this is:
The only way to restore health is by eating golden apples or using regeneration potions.
Golden apples require 8 Gold Ingots, not gold nuggets.
Once you die, you are eliminated from the game.
This can work on pretty much any difficulty (other than Peaceful, obviously), but the ultimate challenge would be to kill the Ender dragon on hard difficulty. Not for the faint of heart
I don't really see why it needs to be a separate game mode. You can already play the game however you want and make up all kinds of rules for yourself to follow.. If you want to play with one life, then just do it. If you don't have the willpower to delete your world after you die, then you probably aren't going to actually enjoy playing "hardcore" mode anyway.

Honestly, it doesn't work like that. I love the perma-death feature, it is my preferred way to play an RPG. If I'm playing an RL that has multiple options related to difficulty, (very rare) I always pick the mode that has perma-death enabled. I like how it forces you to really think about the decisions you're making in-game, knowing that your PC could be gone forever in a split second. Just a few days ago, I deleted all my existing saves on Skyrim and decided to play it in a roguelike fashion. I made it probably 30 hours, derped and YASD occurred. I couldn't bring myself to delete the PC.
That isn't Xbox or the game. That is your horrible download or upload connection (depending on if you're hosting or on somebody else's world).
I have the best connection (for residential) that I can get in my area also have top of the line router. But the multiplayer lag is terrible. And it's the same when I play with a friend living in Taiwan (literally on the other side of the planet from me) and when I play with a roommate that is 20 feet from me.

Ultra hardcore mode is not a real thing, just a youtube series which uses the ultra hardcore mod and whatever other mods are used in the mindcrack server(Thats why golden apples use ingots not nuggets)
