To me it doesn't really matter much if water can be used in the nether or not. Not all underworlds are made of fire & lava....
I don't understand how water is overpowered in the nether. it is just water. sure you could turn the floor to obsidian, but what does it matter. Each person has a style they play.
Now something I am getting sick of seeing in the nether is gravel. Well too much of it. Seems there is more gravel than soul sand at times in the nether. Which makes thing more boring in my opinion. Funny though now the new disappointing texture for it actually makes the nether covered in metal and pumice...
All in all I really don't care either way, as I don't really even make a base in the nether, since there really is not much to do there.><
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
you can place snow golems in the nether. previously they would leave a snow trail where they walked. now (TU9) they don't. they are a planned part of the game but it doesn't make sense to me. A SNOWman in the nether?
I am anti-water in the nether. If snowgolems are allowed then i will use that to guard my portal from attack but I would rather it not be there. What do you think?
The funny thing is...people kill the ender dragon and get more obsidian than they will ever need.
And on top of that there is the portal trick you can use.
Honestly if people want ob there is plenty of ways to get it.
And heres the real kicker, if you did this it would only change the first layer...so you would lose it all while mining the top layer. so whats the point in the first place?
I could go either way on this one because it dosne't matter.
I guess logically the ice should evaporate like water. Its Heck after all...

This is not about obsidian I take water in to the nether fortress to my area were I create potions centrally located between the blazes and the nether wart. and if I need something else like the big floating pain in the butt then I can go get one of those too..
People Let the people play!!! if you do not want people to use water or ice in your nether then put a tick in the settings menu this would solve the issue for ever for all players.
We have one for TNT we have one for fire spreads what is the big deal put one for "ice/water in nether"
problem solved what is every ones big deal go communism, or we can work it and out and have freedom of creation with out limitation..
why should you be allowed to tell me how I am going to play the game and what I can do with it why do you want to limit what I can and cant do the game.
