So we made a big wheat farm underground (300 squares) and we made it automatically harvest via water flowing through it. It comes to the bottom of the farm where two source blocks carry it to a collection point. However, when we get it to harvest and then go to the collection point, a single stack of 64 wheat is all we get (unless we planted less than 64). We have lost hundreds of seeds and potential wheat, and the machine is really disappointing. Is this a bug with a convergence point? There is a trapdoor above the point if that means anything. Please help!
No, there is a "dropped item limit" 200. So you'll never get what you expect out of it... 200 max. This includes burnt up zombies and skellys that might of dropped items as they burnt to death as part of that count.

Reduce your wheat farm size to about 150 wheat per harvest and you should be ok.
Due to the forementioned limit, the only way you'll get the full bang for your buck is to manually harvest them, albeit odd for someone to need so much wheat....
Thanks everyone! People around here are so helpful :). I don't have a problem with manual harvesting but I might make something to flush it out one section at a time for the fun of it. Also, it's a world with four people and we've played months without any source of food out of sheer laziness, so when we made it we had the idea that we would never go hungry again.
