I've abandoned my big castle phase and now am using towers. They aren't as impressive but everything is much easier to get to.
And I've been using item frames to decorate... now the kitchen has all kinds of foodstuff "paintings" to complete the look... and I've been creating like 4 double chests on every floor.
I could swear that the game is stuttering a little at times. The game has always run smooth as silk, but I'm starting to wonder if the game is having a hard time tracking the huge proliferation of items. Frankly, I think this is the biggest collection of stuff I've had in one location in over a year of playing Minecraft.
There is a item frame/painting limit 200.00 and yes item frames def cause some lag.. I set up a wall of 1000 spaces.. 200 of which are itemframes.. others are sings.. walk up to it and it lags it decently.. not horrible but you can notice a diff... and the lag was there before i placed any of the signs.. I was trying to find a limit on signs.. got upto 1001 signs and stopped

There is a limit. You can only have 200 items frames and pictures in one world and there are also limits to the amount of drops and mobs that can be spawned and what not.
If you're experiencing severe lag or enough so it's bothersome try restarting your world, or Minecraft, or your xbox could end up helping.
Be careful with towers. If you end up having certain things up to high or whatever it could be a pain getting up and down the tower.
@Overlook. I do believe there is (or there was) an issue where if you have too many signs it could cause your world to crash other issues

I heard about that.. but yeah.. I was curious to see if there was a sign limit.. since there was an itemframe/painting limit.. and 1001 signs later.. no crash

Do I have too many items? Is there a limit?
